Opens my Access database where Open Office and Libre Office both failed.
Access Database Manager is the only Mac database program that i have found that will open and allow me to use my old Microsoft Office XP Access databases. OpenOffice and LibreOffice only display junk and some cryptic “Microsoft Jet” messages.
Access Database Manager is a work in progress. It may not be the easiest or most intuative database program out there, but Steven Li has been more than gone above and beyond to help me learn the program and get be able to use my databases again.
One of my databases has over 800 records, each with about forty fields. Access Database Manager has had no issues handling it, whatsoever.
I suggest this program. It, and its optional plugins are more than worth the cost. If the user has trouble figuring out the features, just get support from Steven. He is great.
For some time, I was coming to the conclusion that if I wanted my Access databases back, I would have to install Micro$hit WinDoze and Office on my iMac. I really do not want any Microsoft code on this machine, whatsoever.
